The structure of LED light strips is divided into the following two types:
One is a common type, that is, a series-parallel circuit structure;
One is the combined type, that is, the structure adopted by the magic light bar, which contains an integrated circuit and a timing control circuit.
The following will use commonly used LED light strips to explain related issues about LED light strips:
1. What materials are made of LED strips?
The LED strip is composed of FPC, LED, chip resistors, waterproof silicone, connection terminals and other materials.
2. What is the circuit structure of the LED strip?
The circuit structure of conventional LED light strips is a series-parallel circuit. Most of the LED light strips wholesale products provided to us are 12V powered LED light strips, which use three LEDs plus a chip resistor to connect in series to form a group of circuits; And each LED strip is made up of 10-component circuit combination in parallel.
The advantages of designing the circuit structure in this way are:
A. The use of resistor divider can effectively ensure that the LED works under the specified rated voltage, and will not shorten the service life of the LED because the input voltage exceeds the rated voltage of the LED.
B. Parallel shunting can effectively reduce the impact of the input rated current on each group of LEDs through the parallel circuit, so that the LEDs can be stabilized within a current range, thereby greatly improving the service life of the LEDs.
C. Parallel constant voltage, because each group of LEDs has a parallel structure, so cutting one group arbitrarily will not affect the normal use of other groups, which can effectively save installation costs without causing waste.
3. What is the physical structure of the LED strip?
There are 4 types of LED light strips according to width, 6mm/8mm/10mm/12mm, and 6 types according to LED size: 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 5050, 5060. So what is the physical structure of each LED strip? Similarly, we provide LED strips (led5050 220v flexible strips) of conventional LED strips as an example to illustrate their physical structure.
Since the LED strips need to be spaced according to the length of the strips, the number of LEDs and the cutting position, no matter what kind of LED strips, the physical structure of the arrangement is calculated according to the following formula:
LED strip length-cutting position width x cutting number) / LED number = LED pitch.
Number of LEDs/3 = number of chip resistors
4. What is the basis for determining the width and spacing of the LED strip pads?
The width of the pad width of the LED strip is determined according to the LED size specifications used. If it is 0603 size, the pad width is determined according to the ratio of 0603; if it is 0805, 1206, 1210, etc., its welding The width of the tray can be 0805 or 1206. The specific size can be determined according to the power of the LED strip and the power shared to the resistor; for the 5050 and 5060 size LED strips, the width of the pad must be in line with 1206 The specifications, because the 5050 and 5060 specifications of the LED strip power is relatively large, so there are requirements for the size of the pad and the power of the resistance.
